Villager 101
Villagers are the heart of your island, each with a unique personality type such as Cranky, Peppy, Lazy, Snooty, and Jock. Building relationships with them unlocks gifts, DIY recipes, and special interactions. Spending time daily talking, gifting, and completing favors increases friendship levels, which may lead to villagers taking photos or giving rare items. Different personality types respond differently to interactions. Peppy villagers enjoy playful gifts and conversations, while Cranky villagers prefer practical presents. By understanding their likes and habits, you can create a friendly and vibrant island community.
Friendship Tiers
0-29 Default
30-59 The player can give the villager a gift once per day.
60-99 The villager can sell items to the player.
100-149 The villager can ask the player to change their catchphrase
150-199 The villager can ask the player to change their greeting. The villager can give the player their photo. Special reactions from each villager personality can be obtained.
200-255 The villager can buy items from the player.
